Don't kill own team members

Postby DaMenaCe » Fri Sep 21, 2012 7:18 am

Dear UT99,

After 5 years i have setup a new server on a Solid State Disk with a 1Gbit/1Gbit connection. Server adres is unreal.damenace.nl.
I hope it's fast enough for other players.

I only have 1 question. I use the Baiters Edition V3. With Instagib CTF it's possible to kill your own team members. I have looked for hours, but i can not find an option to turn that setting off. I have searched this forum, but did not find a solution. How to turn it off ?
Thank you!

I really feel like a noob now. I change friendly fire from 0.4 to 100, and it didn't work. Now i changed it to 0, and now it's working great.
Thank you ! And i'm sorry i opened a topic for this question.

Random factoid: Instagib cannot kill you when you use asbestos armor.

Aww, Dear UT99
That is so nice.
Welcome DaMenaCe

As far as I am concerned having team damage on, makes you shoot better, and stops people from spamming ammo at everything.

I'll test that theory!

Fraid it doesn't work with my version. I used an Asbestos suit and ran straight into a instagib fight. Didn't work out as expected :P

Asbestos suits prevent the damage type 'Burned'. Instagibs deliver the damage type 'Gibbed'.

That's weird. I've got that armor on like 3 different maps and on each one, those with it can't be killed by the instagib.

*LIGHTBULB*

Sorry if this'll derail or 'undermine' your thread EG, but I just got a brainstorm out of this.

What if we made a special suit that would prevent Burned, Gibbed, Exploded and 'Slimed' damage? Wouldn't that be b*lls awesomesauce?

That would make you fairly close to invulnerable in an MH map. Still it's a neat idea and now I want to build one. Damn you!
