Unable to play SP maps with Oldskool...

Postby GEx » Wed Apr 25, 2012 7:17 pm

When I activate Oldskool and select 'new single player game' the game freezes. The only way I can play SP maps is by UED->Play map. Anyway to fix this? I got oldskool with Operation NaPali.

The SP games I had in ut99 didn't let oldskool work for me either. No idea why.

Try to reinstall UT clearly, then install Operation Na Pali with Old Skool mod and see what you have

I also started to play ONP not long ago, it works perfectly.I have UT GOTY v436. Maybe you use v451 or lower than v436..

Or try to found newest or oldest versions of Old Skool, maybe that will help

Just a quick note.

Make sure you actually have some SP maps in the UT/Maps folder. (derp)

Just mentioning it, because I found out the other day that oldskool will lock up horribly and loop out
building its map list if it only finds default AS/DM/CTF/DOM maps in the map folder.
And it locks up exactly where you mentioned it did.

Takes it a while to crash, and you get a nice big log file.

If you have just copied the oldskool files over into a fresh UT install but didn't actually run the UMOD file, you
may try doing that just to see....

Now that you mention it, I think I only extracted the files from the UMOD rather than installing it. My bad
 . I'll go check.
