For the sheer ridiculousness of it, the Ultima Protos in NaliWeapons2 is too damned fun. It's gotten to the point I'll summon 1 or 3 of them into a CTF game and not use them. That might be silly but I let the bots use the thing. More fun that way! Unlike crack, though, I can enjoy this endlessly and it does me no real harm...
...unless you count I think it's frying my retinas. Really, after a few shots of the thing my eyes feel like I've spent an entire day at the beach.
Oddity, I've learned that shooting other players with it doesn't kill them. Blast passes right over them without harm, it's the shockwave from when it hits whatever is behind them that does the super·gibbing.
I have in mind a mutator, if anyone is willing to slap one together for me. However, as I don't wanna steal anything from its creator (Feralidragon is good people) I think the mutator should only work if the player already has NW2 installed into their ut99. The mutator should need NW2 and not be able to function without it.
Don't change the fact it takes the gun about 10 minutes to respawn. Way things are, it's around enough already. Especially how I play. Typically I have the pinata·mutator going in most games so that results in more than a few Ultima Protos laying around from the deaths of the people that fired them.
I'd also like the mutator to work like the one I'm attaching to this document. One of my favorite superweapons is DeemerFireworks. Inparticular, the thing randomly spawns somewhere on the map and maintains that position for the entire game with its respawns. In team games it generates 1 Deemer for each team, somewhere in their territory; a very MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) design if ever there was one.
