Your download link says "access denied".

Looks fun from the video though.

Tell me, does the pawn usually shoot off that much or was it so much excess as you were in God Mode?

Thanks for that, it's Google Drive restricting links by default. I have fixed the permissions so you should now be able to download the file.

And yes, you probably won't see that much spam in normal gameplay as it was a demo (no promises though!).

Got it.

I might, as I mostly want to test it against the unkillable Cyberus ยท https://unreal-games.livejournal.com/112001.html

Do I need EXU for this pawn to work?

Certainly interesting :tu:

The FlareGun doesn't seem to be dropped by the FlareTrooper on death so presumably it is 'destroyed'? Which is a pity - would be nice to use it against them!

I summoned 2 FlareTroopers into a map - FlareTrooper.DemonFlareTrooper and FlareTrooper.FlakFlareTrooper. With each I got multiple log entries of these 6 lines

Code: Select all

ScriptWarning: DemonFlareTrooper DM-(Geof) (SUF)DerelictCitY[Geof].DemonFlareTrooper0 (Function flaretrooper.flaretrooper.Tick:0022) Accessed None 'myInventory'
ScriptWarning: DemonFlareTrooper DM-(Geof) (SUF)DerelictCitY[Geof].DemonFlareTrooper0 (Function flaretrooper.flaretrooper.Tick:002A) Attempt to assign variable through None
ScriptWarning: DemonFlareTrooper DM-(Geof) (SUF)DerelictCitY[Geof].DemonFlareTrooper0 (Function flaretrooper.flaretrooper.Tick:0034) Accessed None 'Weapon'
ScriptWarning: DemonFlareTrooper DM-(Geof) (SUF)DerelictCitY[Geof].DemonFlareTrooper0 (Function flaretrooper.flaretrooper.Tick:003C) Accessed None
ScriptWarning: DemonFlareTrooper DM-(Geof) (SUF)DerelictCitY[Geof].DemonFlareTrooper0 (Function flaretrooper.flaretrooper.Tick:0044) Attempt to assign variable through None
ScriptWarning: DemonFlareTrooper DM-(Geof) (SUF)DerelictCitY[Geof].DemonFlareTrooper0 (Function Engine.Pawn.NextItem:0017) Accessed None 'Inventory'
so quite a bit of log spam.

You need to test the Flare Gun and the vast array of flares rather than the FlareTrooper(s).

Thanks for taking a look!

By design, I don't have them dropping flares/flareguns as I assumed the prior FlareFight mutator would suffice. But, since you took a look ad expressed interest, maybe I'll have them drop those as a config flag in a future version.

Thanks for reporting that logging too, I'll also try to address that if I ever rework this.

I'll try more of them in due course - always interested in new 'stuff', especially new ScriptedPawns :)

The effects of the Demon Flare looked good - pretty devastating if you get hit by one of course! Luckily I got a headshot on the FlakFlareTrooper before it was able to get a shot in. I'll have to go through EXU.u to look at the various flares and at the amount of damage they cause just so I know which are the most deadly and which the least - not really familiar with them at present.
