I'm still getting 500 connection errors but i may've found a loophole. Usually when I get on I hit "new posts" and open multiple threads at once, then go back through them to read them. Nowadays that always gets me a bunch of 500's but i noticed today that if I hit refresh on each 500, 1 at a time, they load up like they're supposed to.

It's a lot slower, but it works.

The IRC Channel is a nice plus but not a replacment for the forum. I get Err 500 at least twice before accessing the pages whenever I come here.

I've been told clearing the cookies for this site helps, but I don't get much difference.

I do wonder if Shade is just hoping this site will die a semi-natural death, by the members leaving.
Whatever the state of this site, it unfortunately contains a lot of reference, information and resources, and as-such even if we no longer use it, it needs to stay online for others.
We can ask the web archive to harvest all the pages, but all the locked sections would have to be opened first.
Just like the Gamespy situation, I think we need to plan ahead for those that follow.

If Shade wants rid of this site, do we take the keys to the house and sort it out ?
This year is seeing a lot of changes, so it would not surprise me to see this site be one of those changes.

Well, no 500 errors anymore... which is a plus. Forum is chugging along a little slower than before, but this is a definite improvement!
