I do remember that ut99 was online, it was on the news on the television in holland also.
It was the first game who was online playable at that time.I was overwelmed when i saw the news, i was back in those days very active with copieing processes with 3,5 inch hd diskettes.
I had a supplierer who comes strait from the internet, later it became cd and dvd compact disks.

They look like real cd,s or cdroms and dvd,s like it was made for the greater public.
