Never played the original, though this...despite released in 2003 has the quality of some really early Unreal custom maps when people had no clue how to make maps properly on the engine yet...or were just really inexperienced.

sometimes those...rescaled brushes with the texture scaling not being reset...a smudge everywhere....the looks would have been improved if at least the guy reset the scaling and tried something else...

though I remember some professional mappers early/unfinished works also suffering from this. I have to remember many of the original versions of jeff rubin maps on unreal psx...smudge everywhere.

edit: looked at who the author is and...
"You suck!" as many players/bots in UT would say.

Looks like it was towards the end of the map rather than right at the start when the map was loaded - so probably not very important.

The map has UnealI.Flakbox ammo (which wasn't converted to UT ammo in my setup).

Also had this - had it also in Research or TrifleHavock (can't remember which now).

Running 469d and Galaxy - haven't seen it when playing DM maps. Don't know what the impact was as I don't play the music anyway. Just thought I would mention it.
