My students wanted a new batch of skins so we came up with a League of teams based on planets (+ the moon and Pluto). The skin we used as a base was the metal guard skin but adjusted it quite a bit. The faces are various ones. Here is the link . . . http://www.mediafire.com/download/8f91n ... lanets.rar
I can handle the ribbing about Uranus . . . and believe it or not . . . that's why we decided to go for masks on the bots. The solar team was an afterthought because it is so important.
The melding of the skin color with the necks are more difficult than the male commandos. Tried lowering the brightness and increasing the contrast but still couldn't find a good mixture. Next time I'll have to work on changing the necks rather than focusing on melding with the face.
Ah well the students are happy and that is all that matters in the end.

Re: Soldier Skin . . . The Planets League
Nice, although screenshots are ideal when displaying a new skin.
Looked them over, good use of team coloring. Actually included other races, although not all faces necessarily matched the skin on the neck but mostly okay. Each separate skin set has it's own multiple choice of faces, cool.
You may be penalized as many people don't consider Pluto to be a planet anymore, though I'm still pulling for it. Also not sure Helios is a planet.
...and you just know the skins under Uranus will be mercilessly teased.

Re: Soldier Skin . . . The Planets League
okay, that's a little confusing... you replied to your initial comments in your starting post.
that lil' paradox just borked my mind.
You mentioned students. Are you a clan based out of a college or highschool? Are you playing LAN games when you should be doing homework??

EvilGrins - I had to edit my post or someone would have sent a mean nasty note saying not to post twice within 24 hours.
I'm a teacher actually and as an afternoon activity, once a week I'm teaching them how to build their own maps and skin themselves. I've been amazed at how much Unreal Tournament can still draw them in despite being 15 years old.

Double posts (two or more posts in a row) have a 24 hour limit but not a regular post.
Re: Soldier Skin . . . The Planets League
I'm just gun shy papercoffee from the last group of skins I posted.

Re: Soldier Skin . . . The Planets League
You may say Pluto isn't a Planet but I did hear a news about it a few months ago they reconsidered it as a Planet. Smh, in the history book and all, it's always a Planet so screw the crazy constant news update, I'd rather go old school.
The skin looks good! From looking at the screen shot, the guy in top mid looks cute. Hahaha. Downloaded.

Sorry for the necro-bump, but the download link above is no longer working and I was wondering if anyone downloaded that?
