Cyberus mapping
HallOfGiants remains my fave map to test most everything on, and the Cyberus (a largely un-killable monster) is something I'm still toying with:
So this little experiment is for sheer fun. Cyberus is in a spot where he's largely out of the way unless players goto him first. It's a Deathmatch map so fighting him isn't necessary... but you might wanna choose to avoid him.
Originally changed his projectiles to NW2 ultima-protos blasts, then paired that down to projectiles from the UKBadBoy, and finally settled for energy attacks from the Udoom weaponpack: plasma blasts & BFG:
Thing about the BFG is that it hurts the monster firing it as much as everyone else, so the fact Cyberus can't die works out well here. It's a line-of-sight blast, so if you see that slow moving green energy ball you should duck for cover.
Enjoy · http://www.mediafire.com/file/8t65kt61z ... yberus.zip

Re: Cyberus mapping
The trick of it is to either not lure the Cyberus from the upper level (which is hard to do as that's where the redeemer is) or fight the other players creatively without being anywhere the Cyberus is as it's kill-everything-in-sight move makes things challenging.makemeunreal wrote:Ahahaha. Will definetely try this out!
Most probably wouldn't enjoy such a scenario but I like this sorta thing. Un-killable monster I've gotta avoid while still playing the level.

Always a given, where mutators are concerned... but if it gets off a shot before you tamale it to death, you're gonna get seriously gibbed.papercoffee wrote:Un-killable with the default weapons.

My bad, forgot the name.papercoffee wrote:I gave you that map already, to put Team Titans with German swearing on it
Okay, theoretically it works but it ran into a problem. Cyberus only flies when pursuing a target or avoiding one, and after a broconnade goes off everything nearby is dead so it lands...
...and if it was over a bottomless-pit/killzone it lands WAY down there, doesn't die, and is largely pointless.

Re: Cyberus mapping
Oh... didn't notice this behaviour. Uhm, Ok... another big map without bottomless pits, but not a Hall of Giants map.
Let me search my folder for another one.
As it looks like is Mr.C still trying to fight but won't fly up... This is a stupid monster.

Re: Cyberus mapping
If it had weapons like its usual stuff, with unlimited range, it could probably still kill folks even from way down there.papercoffee wrote:As it looks like is Mr.C still trying to fight but won't fly up... This is a stupid monster.
