ComboInstaGib on Lan server

Hi Everyone,

I would like to play CTF maps in LAN with my family, so i launched a Lan Server and choose Combo InstaGib as a mutator. Of course i installed it on the client PC, but on that PC the mutator does not show on skins, on the other hand on my PC everything is allright.

I swtich between PCs and start the server on the other PC and the same problem occurs on the client PC.
Is there anything that should i do to solve this issue?

It has the symptom of a missing ServerPackage.
Have you set a serverpackage for the custom mod so that it'll be send to the client?

In short: add all files (UTX, U, UMX, UAX) the clients need into server's UnrealTournament.ini, section [Engine.GameEngine] with ServerPackages=PackageName
Example:
UnrealTournament.ini wrote:[Engine.GameEngine]
ServerPackages=SoldierSkinsbat.utx
ServerPackages=Demonica.u
ServerPackages=DemonicaSkins.utx
...

Thanks so much for these details, so i added in the Server (PC) side this line : ServerPackages=ComboInstaGib in the UnrealTournament.ini, but nothing changed in the client, the same problem.

The thing which is strange is that this ComboInstaGib is alredy installed in the client manually.

Edit: I finaly resolved the issue by deleting ComboInstaGib on the Client and everything is good now.

MAke sure you have all the packages mentioned.
If the mutator uses a texture file (.utx for the colored beams for example) you alo need to add that to the server packages.

Normally if you install the mutator clients side manually (placing the .u file in the system dir, and .utc file in texture dir, .umx file in music dit etc), it should all be good and you would not need to add the serverpackages to your server UnrealTournament.ini file.

serverpackages are for if you can not reach the client side manually (internet) so the server would send the needed package you specified to the client.

If the mutator is a build in mutator of UT itself, you would not need to do anyting becasue those mutators come with all client UT versions.
