Hey, everybody! I'm new. I want to create a public server to play for a short time. I use wired internet (LAN), without a router. Can I open the server using the in-game interface or is it necessary to do it only through the file system? I am using version 469b.

Both ways work but a bat-file is to prefer, also 469D is out now, what game-type do you want to run?

I'm interested in 3 types: DM, TDM and CTF. All the classics without mods and mutators.

Might want to look into FragNewNet if you are looking at hosting for international players.

Supports players with pings upto 300ms.

I plan on playing in Russia with a friend for a while.
