Got this from Pietro's site and have played it quite a bit already. I particularly like the concept as it is something different and hasn't been done before AFAIK. Very nicely executed - well textured, good atmosphere and lighting - versatile map that suits a number of play styles - plenty of places for camping but also easy to move around. Still exploring it particularly the high level ducts.

So, yeah, thanks for sharing it here - impressive and a great job :tu:
Spoiler
[FWIW I tend to look for opportunities to add a bit of ambient sound - given that it is an abandoned pool building then there won't be any sound really internally but I added some subdued street sound by the main door and some 'night' sounds at the opposite end by the high level window through which the moon shines]

I agree.

This is a totally unique map that, again, doesn't look similar to about 24000 other maps for UT that all look basically the same.

Great theme. Great sense of style. Great spooky ambiance.

I also like the reference to Sponge Bob and the Power Puff girls, placing this scene squarely in the realm of the late 90's. Which means it's been "abandoned" for quite a while.

Nice work SP.

BTW, What does SFL stand for?

Thanks. :tu:

That's what I forgot to do is put sounds in it like dripping sounds and others I must remember to do that on my next map when I think of any ideas.
The inspiration for this map was a map called rec pool [fbi]

Good map, well pathed. I particularly liked the ducts above... although none of the bots seem to use those at all.

Those ducts aren't pathed. There is a teleporter to a beam and that's about the closest bots could get (unless translocating from a lift which also gets close but would need to be carefully pathed/set up). There's nothing much up there for them apart from some bullet boxes. Given that the high level ducts and beams are basically for sniping, personally I wouldn't see much point in taking the trouble to set up those areas for bots to camp and snipe as that's not something they are really 'designed' to do.

Depends on the bot.

It's specifically what I set her up for.

SFL stands for snipers for life
