Well I 80% finished.... A room ... Out of 8 rooms that I planned + corridors

It took me 4 hours just to remember how to set up coronas and blockall actors... Damnit! :ironic2:

I knew I should have made a simple DM arena or CTF map. Now I'll never make the deadline (24h remaining for me :( )

EDIT: Mouse brokedown.....
FUUUUUUUUUUUUU........!!!!! :mad2:

Please don't write a map review right now... Report bugs but nothing more.
The contest is still running.

Ok, here is my entry, with just 1 minute to spare!

EDIT: The map is done I did not have the time to do all the things I wanted.

EDIT2: If these maps are going to be released in a pack Is it ok if I send in a "fixed" version?

EDIT 3: That's good to know. Also here are some screenshots.

Today I've got about 9 hours before the deadline, and all I have at the moment is geometry (which is about 90% complete, missing a couple rooms and torches)... not sure if I can make that work :P
I could still use the big building with towers and make a CTF-like map out of it with some quick terrain in the middle, but I guess I'll try to complete the full version instead, hopefully it won't be a trainwreck :)

Good looking maps so far :tu:

Btw, I just want to mention that I am actively working on mine. I started it last Friday (about mid-afternoon), and I ended up spending more time on it than what I had planned.
Either ways, it's almost finished (I have only a couple of todo's on it, but nothing related to BSP, just lighting and some custom stuff/models I am working on to add, plus the item and AI placement).
I won't show any screenshot yet, but the map is rather simple, the setup is at night, and there's a central part mostly lit by the full moon, and it has an industrial-esque theme to it (not fully industrial, but almost) but with a "twist" when it comes to gameplay.

I will be working further on it in the next hours, hopefully I can finish it before noon (I may end up surpassing the 48h margin for a bit, perhaps by 1 or 2 extra hours, but then again it has been years since I made a map so I am quite slow at it lol).

Finished!

EDIT: Attached some screenshot to the post.

I had a load of fun doing this! Although I had to rush things a lot to meet the deadline. It's not very polished, but I'm happy that I was able to complete it :)
I had five minutes left when I added the banner to the map so I had no time to mask it, it's going to look a bit weird :P. There's also no map screenshot (the player count is meant to be 12 - 24).

By looking at the maps above (specially Gen's and DeathoX's), I wonder if I ever stood a chance in this "contest" :lol2:
Great job, this pack is looking promising :tu:

On another note, a lot of interruptions happened to me today and adding to that there were some (coding) complications in the custom content my map pretty much requires. Those complications are finally solved and now I got some time again, but having that said, I can only finish the map past the original required time (as right now it's not even in a releasable state yet).
So now it's up to you guys if you want to wait for my map (which should be ready between today and tomorrow, and I am actively working on it now) and "penalize" it for the extra time, or advance in to make the pack and then I release mine as standalone.

Here's some WIP:

As you see, there's still a lot of elements missing and some of the lighting to be done (due to the custom components the map is supposed to have).
The main gaming concept is a central open arena with 2 entrances, which are connected to each other as you can see in the 2nd screenshot, so in this corridor all angles are possible to attack.

The custom content I am going to add is also going to be available as a separate pack (mostly particles generators, a few custom stuff to complete the map visually, and neon-like lights). The textures and such are all standard ones, I didn't use any custom ones besides the one given by Paper (the banner), and I plan to release a CTF variant (the flag carrier won't be able to pass from one corridor to another of course, he will loose the flag in the process).
It's been several years since I made my last map, so I would like to finish this one properly.
